Fulton County Arts & Culture awards additional funding for 2025
In an unprecedented move to support the arts in Fulton County, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners has unanimously voted to extend a second round of funding through its Contracts for Arts Services (CFS) program. At a time when public funding for the arts is shrinking, this bold move by FCAC has been greeted with applause and gratitude by arts organizations, artists, and audiences. With this award, FCAC, which has been one of the most steadfast supporters of Flux Projects's work since 2012, continues its major support of our operations. Georgia Council for the Arts awards grant to Flux Projects
Flux Projects is honored to receive continued funding from Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) through its grant program for organizations. This award will support general operations from July 2025 through June 2026. Since 2012, GCA has been one of the most steadfast supporters of Flux Projects’s work. GCA cultivates the growth of vibrant, thriving Georgia communities through the arts by providing grant funding, programs and services statewide. GCA belief that the arts can transform communities underlies its funding for arts organizations whose work demonstrates a significant benefit to the community. In addition, GCA provides research and economic impact data about the arts industry to inform messaging and promotes professional development and capacity building opportunities for the field. Acclaimed Choreographer Sue Schroeder Along With Prolific Artist Jonathon Keats and International Composer Felipe Pérez Santiago Create Site-Specific Interactive Dance Performances at Tanyard Creek Park Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 ATLANTA (April 2, 2025) – Flux Projects announces its encore presentation of Braiding Time, Memory and Water, a site-specific interactive dance performance encouraging us to reconnect with our natural environment. The City of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) was established in 1974 to encourage and support Atlanta’s cultural resources. Fulton County Library System to highlight Flux Project Here Song
In celebration of Native American Heritage Month the Fulton County Library System is highlighting Here Song, Flux Projects's digital project with Cannupa Hanska Luger and Ginger Dunnill. Throughout the month of November the library is featuring Here Song on the home page of computers hosted in their computer lab, in the library's print and online newsletters, and on their social media platforms. As a mobile app Here Song allows users to trace their landscape and create sound compositions that engage directly with the land.
